RHI MagnesitaRHI Magnesita N.V., global supplier of refractory products, systems and solutions, announces a trading update for the three months to September 2019. Since the Company's interim results in August, the global steel market has weakened further, with world-wide production declining quarter on quarter. Despite the strong, ongoing performance of the Industrial Division and the self-help opportunities available to the Group, the continued deterioration in Steel sales volumes and the lower fixed cost recovery from reduced plant utilisation, have more than offset these benefits. Consequently, expectations for the current financial year have reduced to an adjusted EBITA in the range of Euro 400-410 mn. According to the company, the customers have poor visibility and their end-markets are likely to remain challenging. The Group, however, will continue to execute its strategy, realising the benefits of its integrated model, its growth in new markets, and its additional cost savings and efficiency initiatives, with an increased focus on free-cash-flow generation. The Group continues to make strong progress with its integration plans following the merger of RHI with Magnesita and remains on track to realise the synergy targets of at least Euro 90 mn in 2019 and Euro 110 min by 2020.

Strabag: A consortium consisting of Züblin, a company of Austrian construction group Strabag, and the Max Bögl Group has been awarded the contract for the project approval section 1.3a of the new Stuttgart–Ulm railway line. The order, worth a total of approximately Euro 500 mn, covers a 5.3 km section of the new railway line alongside the A8 motorway between the boundaries of project approval sections 1.2 (Filder Tunnel) and 1.4 (Filder Plain to Wendlingen) and also includes the new long-distance and regional station beneath the Stuttgart airport and trade fair centre, its connection to the new railway line through the approximately 2.1 km airport tunnel, and the partial relocation of state road 1204. This new project section also comprises a new connection between the new railway line and the airport curve, to be built at a later date to link the existing airport/trade fair station, including a new third track, to the Stuttgart–Hattingen railway line (Gäu Railway). The underground airport/trade fair station will have a length of 400 metres and, like the two single-track 1.8 km long tubes of the airport tunnel, will be built by conventional tunnelling. The extensive earthworks and roadworks will be performed by Strabag.
Strabag: weekly performance: -0.17%

Transport volume: In 2018, the transport volume on Austrian roads carried out by domestic and foreign road freight vehicles amounted to 574.0 million tonnes and increased by 3.1% compared to 2017 (557.0 million tonnes), as Statistics Austria reports. With 51.9 billion domestic tonne-kilometres, the transport performance rose by 4.5% in the reference year (2017: 49.6 billion tonne-kilometres).

S&T: Technology group S&T AG signed a purchase agreement to acquire AIS Automation GmbH in Dresden, Germany from Meyer Burger (Germany) GmbH. The agreed purchase price amounts to approximately Euro 13 mn and includes the acquisition of all business areas and of approximately 140 employees of AIS. The transaction is subject to antitrust approval in Germany and is expected to be completed at the end of November 2019. The acquisition provides S&T with a complementary product and solution portfolio to its current offering, such as AIS's IIoT service platform "Equipment Cloud", which will add to S&T's own IoT software framework "SUSiEtec".  Hannes Niederhauser, CEO of S&T AG: "I am delighted that we were able to conclude such a highly synergistic deal with the AIS acquisition. The portfolio fits perfectly into our current IoT software and services offering for IoT and Industry 4.0. The acquired software products and highly qualified engineers of AIS will significantly strengthen our IoT Solutions business. This results in high synergies and cross-selling potentials for the entire S&T Group."
S&T: weekly performance: 1.15%

Vienna Airport: The new winter flight schedule at Vienna Airport will be effective from October 27th, 2019. Austrian Airlines is increasing frequencies to Washington and Cape Town, Laudamotion and Wizz Air are launching more than 30 new destinations and many other airlines are offering new routes. The winter flight schedule is valid from October 27th, 2019 to March 28th, 2019. “This winter season features more flight offerings than ever before.
