Lenzing: The Lenzing Group, world market leader for wood-based cellulosic fibers, and Duratex, the largest producer of industrialized wood panels in the southern hemisphere, announce that they will build a 500,000 t dissolving wood pulp plant in the State of Minas Gerais, near Sao Paulo (Brazil). The start-up is planned for the first half of 2022. In the joint venture, Lenzing holds a 51 percent, Duratex a 49 percent stake. The expected industrial CAPEX will be approx. USD 1.3 bn (based on current exchange rates and customary tax refunds). The project is financed through long-term debt. The corresponding financing contracts are expected to be concluded at the end of the first quarter of 2020.

Pierer Mobility: The supervisory board of Pierer Mobility AG has resolved to take over the remaining 60% of the shares in Pexco GmbH from Pierer Industrie AG at its acquisition value, with Pexco now becoming part of the Pierer Mobility AG consolidation group already at the end of 2019. This is a further step of the group towards internationalization in the two-wheeler-electro mobility. For the coming year sales of around Euro 100 mn are expected in this business field.

Valneva: Valneva SE, a biotech company developing and commercializing vaccines for infectious diseases with major unmet needs, confirmed today that it has completed the delisting of its ordinary and preferred shares from the Vienna Stock Exchange. Valneva shares will remain tradeable on Euronext Paris (Compartment B). Valneva announced on January 7, 2019 it would delist its shares from the Vienna Stock Exchange in order to centralise trading on Euronext Paris.

Kapsch TrafficCom: Kapsch TrafficCom wins major project in the USA. The company is supplier to Plenary Infrastructure Belle Chasse LLC, a consortium just awarded by the Louisiana Department of Transport and Development with the Belle Chasse Bridge & Tunnel Replacement Public-Private Partnership Project.  Kapsch TrafficCom will provide the consortium with tolling technology and operate and maintain the toll system. Implementation activities are scheduled to commence in 2023 followed by 30 years of technical and commercial operations. The project volume for Kapsch TrafficCom is estimated to be more than USD 100 mn over the 30 year term.
