21st Austria weekly - A1 Telekom Austria Group, Andritz, Palfinger (15/07/2020)

19.07.2020

A1 Telekom Austria Group: A1 Telekom Austria Group, a provider of digital services and communications solutions in Central and Eastern Europe with around 25 million customers, announced its results for the second quarter and the first half of 2020, ending June 30, 2020. In 2. quarter Group total revenues decreased by 2.4% to Euro 1,095.7 mn, due to lower equipment revenues and roaming losses as well as lower other operating income, following a real estate sale in Austria in the comparison period. Additionally, revenues were also impacted by negative FX effects stemming mainly from Bela- rus and to a lower extent from Croatia. Excluding FX and one-off effects, total revenues remained stable (-0.2%). In first half sales increased by 0,4 % to Euro 2,221.7 mn. The net result for Q2 was Euro 113.8m, 62.7% higher than in the same period of the previous year, both periods being significantly impacted by tax cases in Bulgaria. In the first half year the net income went up 30.3 % to Euro 203.1 mn. CEO  Thomas Arnoldner commented:  "In the second quarter a strong operating performance enabled us to mitigate Covid-19 and foreign exchange effects. Revenues declined by 2.4% due to Covid-19-related roaming losses, lower equipment revenues and foreign exchange effects. Group EBITDA before restructuring increased slightly by 0.5%. We now provide an outlook again for the full year 2020. Due to the Covid-19 and foreign exchange effects, we expect a moderate decline in revenues of approximately 2%." According to Arnoldner, it can be seen that the Covid-19 crisis has given digitalization a boost: from e-learning, videoconferencing and TV streaming to security solutions, e-health and cloud services. "A high-performance broadband infrastructure and smart solutions are becoming increasingly important and are also in demand in the longer term", he added.
Telekom Austria: weekly performance: 5.32%

Andritz
: Only a few weeks after start-up, the 5.6 m wide PrimeLineTM W6 tissue machine that was delivered by Austrian based technology company Andritz to Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC in Vorsino (Kaluga region), Russia, reached a speed of 2,000 m/min with a grammage of 16 g/m² and is now producing high-quality facial, toilet, napkin, and kitchen towel grades made of 100% virgin pulp (bleached hardwood and softwood pulp). Irina Galakhova, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC, says: “We are extremely satisfied with our products – and so are our customers. We appreciate the high quality and softness. In addition, we achieve remarkable cost savings compared to systems with conventional presses and Yankees.”
Andritz: weekly performance: 0.97%

Palfinger: Lifting solutions expert Palfinger was selected to equip four new service vessels for Edda Wind, Østensjø Groups’ offshore wind segment, with lifting solutions as well as lifesaving appliances. Palfinger’s Ibérica office won the extensive package deal after thorough negotiations including ten foldable knuckle boom cranes, four lifeboats and eight davits. Shortly after signing the crane contract, Palfinger secured the deal to also deliver lifesaving appliances to all four new Edda Wind vessels. While each SOV will be fitted with two liferaft davits, each CSOV will be provided with two totally enclosed lifeboats with accompanying davits in addition to two liferaft davits.
Palfinger: weekly performance: 2.28%
