The 6th Baader Investment Conference that we hosted in Munich had a successful conclusion yesterday. On the final day of our four-day event, 24 companies held presentations. In addition, we arranged again around 350 individual and small-group meetings between investors and 50 companies.
Key takeaways of RHI
RHI confirmed that the process to acquire Magnesita is on track. The listing of the new company RHI Magnesita can be expected for end of October. The management also makes good progress to work on the integration and lay the foundation to reap the EUR 70mn integration benefits in the next two to three years.
Business outlook:
The business environment is positive, better as it was throughout the last five years. Demand from the main industries steel, cement and NF-Metal is strong. Rising raw material prices makes it difficult for some smaller competitors to deliver. Consequently, the operating profit should be quite good during 2H17.
Points of interest:
Currently there is less interest from Austria and new interest from GB is just starting to pick up. The management will start to talk more intense about the new company in 2018. During that year, RHI intends to take over the rest of Magnesita and delist the company. Additional synergies from that move will arise on the financial line.
