Trail running is something completly different then running on the streets.

The trail is full of obsticals you have to overcome, like stones, roots, mud and the stretches that go uphill… and that our dear friend costs energy!

Don’t be embarassed when at the beginning, you’re just walking the hills.

So let’s take a moment here. Just close your eyes and imagine you just got your new house or flat with a big garden. As you enter your new home you go straigth to the door of your new little paradise. As you open it you get a bit overwhelmed, because what you see is not a neatlty made garden with flowerbeds and a finely cut gras patch, but a wild space of all kind of plants and brushwood.

Maybe first you get totally freaked out and you just close the door. But in your mind you see all the great things this garden can give you back. All you need is to work a little bit to make it your little place of heaven. So what do you do?

Let us guess. You don’t get into the garden and start working on it. No you take one little space at the time. At one day, you start with the right corner and you go from there.

And that’s how you start with trail running. Just take it slow and take one step at the time.
