Andritz: International technology group Andritz has received an order from Manifattura Fontana, part of Sioen Group, to supply a complete neXline needlepunch line for the production of geotextiles to its site in Romano d’Ezzelino, Italy. Start-up of the line is planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Strabag: Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte eG has commissioned Strabag subsidiary Züblin to build the company headquarters in Ingolstadt. ZÜBLIN already provided the general planning services in advance. Strabag's Zentrale Technik competence centre was also involved. The new DonauTower building complex consists of a 57 m high tower and a base building with six floors. Construction work is expected to start in mid-2022 with the preparation of the excavation pit and should be completed by the end of 2024.

ams Osram: ams Osram, a global leader in optical solutions, reports positive first quarter group financial results. “Our business continued to perform well in the first quarter where we delivered results above the midpoint of our guidance range. As supply chain and end market imbalances remain a key influence, our automotive and industrial & medical businesses showed a very positive performance and our consumer business provided a strong contribution fully matching expectations”, said Alexander Everke, CEO of ams Osram. First quarter group revenues were Euro 1,246 mn, up 1% sequentially compared to the fourth quarter 2021 and down 3% compared to same quarter 2021 (first quarter 2022 USD 1,394 mn). Adjusted group gross margin for the first quarter 2022 was 33%, unchanged from the fourth quarter and down from 35% for the same quarter 2021. The first quarter adjusted group result from operations (EBIT) was Euro 126 min or 10% of revenues compared to Euro 118 mn or 10% for the fourth quarter and Euro 143 mn or 11% of revenues for the same period 2021 (unadjusted: Euro 40 mn or 3% of revenues for the first quarter.
