The last week of the year brought a slightly weaker ATX TR. News came from Erste Group, Marinomed, Semperit, Pierer Mobility, S Immo, Kontron, Immofinanz, Valneva, Vienna Stock Exchange. Developed stock markets worldwide mostly showed double-digit price declines over the year. The Austrian stock market blends into this picture in 2022. While the Austrian national index ATX TR, including dividends, gained 43.59% in the previous year, it lost 16.04% year-to-date. On 28 December 2022, the ATX TR stood at 6,589.84 points, roughly at the same level as before the pandemic (ATX without dividends -19.12%, 3,122.96 points). Even though the national index tends to fluctuate more than other barometers, it is in line with the European average stock market performance in the long term with an average return of 6%. In the prime market, some companies defied this year's global downward trend: Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment AG (+85.78%), Flughafen Wien AG (+23.87%), DO&CO AG (+20.65%), ANDRITZ AG (+18.67%) and STRABAG SE (+6.14%) posted significant gains over the course of the year. The market capitalisation of all domestic companies listed in Vienna was EUR 114.73 billion as of 28 December 2022.
BSNgine weekly Spitout: The ATX TR down -0,4% to 6.597,09 points this week. Year-to-date the ATX TR is now at -15,95%. Up to now there were 125 days with a positive and 130 with a negative gain. From the year-high we are 20,05% away, from the low 18,09%. Statistically the best weekday so far 2022 is Friday with 0,21%, the weakest is Thursday with -0,5%.
These are the best-performers this week: Pierer Mobility 10,62% in front of CA Immo 10,1% and S Immo 4,87%. And the following stocks performed worst: UBM -6,17% in front of Warimpex -5,25% and Kapsch TrafficCom -5,04%.
Further highlights this week: Pierer Mobility for 4 days in a row up (10,62% gain from 61,2 to 67,7), also S Immo 4 days up (4,87% gain from 11,9 to 12,48), Agrana 3 days up (1,01% gain from 14,8 to 14,95), UBM 7 days down (11,28% loss from 25,7 to 22,8), DO&CO 4 days down (2,64% loss from 91 to 88,6), OMV 3 days down (3,76% loss from 49,98 to 48,1), Palfinger 3 days down (2,87% loss from 24,35 to 23,65).
Best-performers year-to-date as of now: SBO 88,05% (last year: -0,48 percent) followed by Flughafen Wien 21,62% (last year: -12,64 percent) and DO&CO 19,57% (last year: 10,93 percent). And the worst-performing stocks year-to-date: Lenzing -55,08% (Vorjahr: 47,34 percent), followed by Immofinanz -48,45% (Vorjahr: 32,82 percent) and UBM -47,34% (Vorjahr: 20,95 percent).
High above the MA200: RBI 21,5%, Andritz 18,86% and Addiko Bank 15,68%.
Down under the MA200: S Immo -41,73%, UBM -32,27% and Immofinanz -27,75%.
