Porr: The Prague Ring Road will significantly ease traffic congestion in the Czech capital by diverting traffic away from the city centre. Construction group PORR is building the Běchovice – D1 section in a 50/50 consortium with two companies from the French VINCI Construction Group. The contract is worth around EUR 385m. The consortium will build the section between Běchovice and the D1 motorway over a period of four years. This will help relieve traffic in the east of Prague in particular. According to forecasts, between 70,000 and 80,000 vehicles will use this route every day by 2030, vehicles that would otherwise be blocking the city’s main traffic arteries.
