Bawag: Following the receipt of regulatory approvals as announced on 9^th of January, Bawag Group announced the successful acquisition of the Hamburg-based Barclays Consumer Bank Europe from Barclays Bank Ireland PLC. BAWAG Group will work with the current leadership team to continue growing its Retail business in Germany and the broader DACH/NL region. During a transitional period, the business will continue to operate under the Barclays brand, with rebranding expected to be unveiled in 2026. At present, there are no changes for customers: both the products and their associated terms and conditions remain unaffected following the completion of the transaction. BAWAG Group will report FY 2024 results on March 4, 2025 and will host an Investor Day on the same day.
