ÖBAG: On 1 July, the Ministry of Labour and Economy, which is the 100% owner of Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖBAG), will receive EUR 766.93 million in dividends that include a special dividend of EUR 175 million from OMV. Together with the EUR 496 million payout from VERBUND, the total volume of dividends paid out to the Republic of Austria by the companies managed by ÖBAG amounts to EUR 1.26 billion. Compared to the financial year 2023 in which dividends of EUR 1.67 billion were distributed this is a decline of around 25%. Apart from the discontinued special dividends from VERBUND and BIG, and the lower dividends received from OMV, the trend is explained by the roughly EUR 100 million, which the Ministry has requested to be distributed as part of dividend payments in the coming year. As a public holding company, ÖBAG helps oversee 10 companies with a total value of approximately 29.85 billion euros (as of December 31, 2024), including the five listed companies Verbund, OMV, Telekom Austria, Austrian Post and EuroTeleSites.
