Austrian Post: In 2013, Austrian Post, acquired a 25 % stake in the Turkish parcel service provider Aras Kargo. In 2020, the stake was increased to 80% – the remaining 20 % remained with Baran Aras, a member of the founding family who also holds a seat on the board of directors. This mandate has now been extended for another ten years and underlines the successful and stable cooperation. In a strategically important, dynamic and growing market like Turkey, Aras Kargo’s strong operational capabilities are a key asset as we expand into new markets. With the extension of the agreement with Baran Aras, we are continuing our partnership in this success story for another ten years.” The past five years of Aras Kargo have been marked by numerous investments amounting to more than 1.5 billion Turkish liras and the entry into new markets such as Azerbaijan, Georgia and soon Uzbekistan.
