OMV: The Austrian oil, gas, and chemicals group OMV is facing a comprehensive cost-cutting program with significant job cuts. "In a volatile and difficult market environment, adjustments of all kinds are necessary to ensure precisely this success in the future," the company announced. "This generally includes a wide range of measures, but does not exclude personnel-related measures, which will be designed in a socially acceptable manner in close dialogue with our employee representatives." Further details will be announced in due course, following internal consultations.
