Let’s be honest. When you think about trail running, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

Let us guess: people running more then 100 km and 1000 altitude. Right? Mountains, Ultraruns, races with a duration of more then a day.

But what if we tell you that trail running is also: forests, peace and quite, a little holiday during the week, an adventure every time you step out of your home.

Trail literally means as much as track or path. And paths can be found everywhere. Whether forest, meadow or gravel roads. In principle, everything is considered a trail, which is not a paved or marked footpath. So that basically means that the moment you leave the sidewalk, you’re becoming a trail runner. Contrary to the public opinion that trail running is something extreme, a run around a lake or through the woods can already count as trail running.

So don’t let that image in your head scare you! Just put your trail running shoes on and get out there. Hit the trails and embrace the adventure that is waiting for you!
